Free Consult, design, Estimate & Review

Hassle Free From Start To Finish

We begin by meeting with you at your property for a site assessment. Next, we offer a custom design and detailed estimate of costs. After design review and discussion, an installation date is scheduled.

Our first task is to meet with you at your property in person, to determine your needs and expectations. This includes inspecting the areas you would like to have irrigated and the area where we will connect the system to the existing plumbing (this will most likely be in the mechanical room).

By inspecting the property in person, we can ensure we have taken all details into account when designing your new sprinkler system. This consultation also allows us to answer any questions you might have.

Google earth example shadow

The second step will be to design a customized underground sprinkler system for your specific property. A scaled drawing of your property, or real property report (RPR) can be used for this. If you are not able to provide us with such a drawing, in most cases we can use an image from Google Maps.

At Future Green Irrigation, we believe in using the latest technology in designing and installing your sprinkler system. Computer aided design (CAD) software is critical to providing you with an efficient sprinkler system that will save water over the long term. In fact we believe our irrigation designs are what set us apart from the rest.

future green estimate

Once we've sent you a full proposal that includes an estimate and design, we'll review it with you, and make any necessary changes or additions.

Our detailed estimates will give you a breakdown of what you are paying for and is inclusive of parts and labour.

There will be no unexpected surcharges once the project gets started.

Trenchless Installation

Our vibratory plow uses a blade to pull pipe into the ground. This allows us to install into existing lawns with minimal disturbance.

Installation & maintenance plan

Our Qualified Team Gets The Job Done

Most residential irrigation systems are completed withing one or two days, after which we will provide a thorough walkthrough. The Backflow Device will be inspected and registered with the city of Calgary or local municipality. Maintenance guidelines will be provided, and your first year of winterization and spring activation services will be included in the installation package.

misha install

Typically, most residential irrigation projects will take one to two days to complete. Homeowners do not need to remain on site for the entire day. We only need access to your plumbing long enough to connect the main water source. We are often asked if existing grass will be damaged in the process. We use a vibratory plow to install our pipes, which is the least invasive method. In most cases, grass will recover in a few weeks.

For new landscaping projects, it is advisable to install the system before sod is laid. If scheduling doesn’t allow for this, you would need to wait for sod to become firmly established before your system can be installed.

Once your irrigation system installation has been completed, our technician will provide a thorough walkthrough. This will include programing your smart irrigation controller and showing you how to use it. Next our AWWA tester will come to test and register your backflow device. This test will need to be done annually, with results reported to your local municipality. The first test will be included in your installation package. Once your system is installed and you’ve lived with it for a while, you may discover that some sprinkler heads need to be adjusted or modified. We will make the needed adjustments at no additional cost.

We take pride in the quality of our sprinkler system design and installation, and we build systems to last. Like any machine with moving parts however, regular maintenance is essential. The following are 3 essential services to keep your system running smoothly:

Winterization - Every fall, water needs to be removed from your system so that freezing does not cause damage. With a new installation, the first winterization in included.

Spring Startup - Spring startup is more than simply turning the water on. It's a great opportunity to readjust and realign sprinkler heads to ensure optimal coverage for the upcoming season.

Cross Connection Testing - Since 2015, The city of Calgary requires an installation of testable cross connection devices and requires owners of such devices to test them annually.

WATER CONNECTION
& Manifold

Your Sprinkler System Works Best With A Dedicated Water Supply

A dedicated water supply will ensure your system will perform at its best. This eliminates flow restrictions from existing outdoor hose bibs, and the smaller ½ inch pipe that feed them. The indoor portion of our irrigation mainline uses PEX pipe. A DCVA backflow device (double check valve assembly) is installed at the point of connection to the potable water supply in accordance with local plumbing codes. The DCVA requires a permit which is included in our installation quote. It also requires annual testing by a AWWA certified tester, which is a service we provide.

At Future Green Irrigation, our systems are designed with hassle-free future maintenance in mind. That’s why we build our manifolds with swivel union connections to easily remove and replace individual components, whether manifold fittings or solenoid valves.

Nozzles

Only The Best Irrigation Systems With Optimal Watering Results

The revolutionary MP Rotator irrigation nozzle features a unique, multi-trajectory rotating stream delivery system that achieves significant water-conserving results.

Rather than simply "spray" water onto landscapes, MP Rotators deliver multiple streams of water at a steady rate.

The slower application rate of this nozzle allows water to gently soak into the soil and apply an even distribution throughout the area being irrigated.

This increased efficiency results in up to 30% less water used when compared to traditional sprays and this nozzle also significantly reduces wasteful runoff.
