What customers have to say about Future Green

Basia Okoniewska

Oliver and his company did an excellent job. Out of all the irrigation companies, he was the only one who went out of his way to accommodate our busy schedule. He met us in the evenings to walk us through the plan, and had competitive quotes. The installation was fast, clean and the end product was fantastic. The lawn looked almost as good as new. They went out of their way to make sure the flower beds remained undisturbed. He again was very flexible during the installation make sure he could walk us through the finished product. I would highly recommend Oliver and Future Green Irrigation.

Cecil Blair

I contracted Future Green to install an underground sprinkler system at my new home. I found the owner, Oliver, to be very professional and customer focused. He provided me a very competitive quote and installed the system in a very short timeframe. His final price was exactly as per his quote and he installed my system on the date we agreed upon. He was on-site supervising his workers during the installation to ensure everything went smoothly. He even gave me a courtesy call a couple weeks after the installation to make sure everything was going okay. Overall I was very happy with Future Green and the excellent customer service they provided.

I tried 3 irrigation companies with different quotes. For what you get in terms of service, respect, professionalism and after-sales service, Future Green Irrigation are truly the best.
Oliver did super fast plumbing job and work is fast and well done.
Everything is high tech. I can control my irrigation through my phone.
You will NEVER regret going with them. It is a job that needs to be done once and they truly perfect it.

STEP 1: FREE CONSULTATION

Free Consultation

Our first task is to meet with you at your property in person so we can determine exactly what your needs and expectations are. This includes inspecting the areas you would like to have irrigated, and the area where we will tie the system into the existing plumbing. (this will most likely be in the mechanical room)

By inspecting the property in person, rather that only viewing a drawing or layout, we can be sure we have taken all information into account when designing your sprinkler system. This consultation also allows us to answer any questions you might have.

Step 2: Free Irrigation Design

Free Detailed Irrigation System Design and Estimate

The next step is to provide you with a detailed sprinkler design and estimate. This can be done one of two ways. If you have an RPR (real property report) or correctly scaled drawing of your property, you can provide this to us to create your design. If you don’t have an RPR, don’t worry. Thanks to Google Earth we can get a satellite image for the vast majority of properties to aid your underground sprinkler design.

At Future Green Irrigation we believe in using the latest technology in designing and installing your sprinkler system. Computer aided design (CAD) software is critical to providing you with an efficient sprinkler system that will save water over the long term. In fact we believe our irrigation designs are what set us apart from the rest.

Benefits of Computer Aided Design

Uniform Application

A uniform application rate starts with proper system design. Sprinkler head spacing, operating pressure, pipe size and flow rate are all factors that must be evaluated when designing your system. There is no better way than to use CAD software to precisely calculate the values of these factors, and ensure they fall within acceptable limits.

EFFICIENT ZONING

As you might expect, you can’t run an unlimited amount of sprinklers off your water source. Eventually you reach a point where there is not enough water to run them all and they won’t even pop up. For most homes in Calgary, the water source is too small to run all the sprinklers that you would need at the same time. This is why most irrigation systems need to split into segments called zones. This means only a group of sprinklers can operate at any one time, with electronic valves automatically cycling through all zones until watering of your whole property has been achieved.

For instance, a hypothetical property might have two zones, one for the front yard and one for the back yard. When then sprinklers are scheduled to run, only the front  sprinklers (zone 1) activate for a scheduled amount of time, let’s say 20 minutes.

After that cycle is complete, they turn off and the back sprinklers (zone 2) will activate for 20 minutes. Watering for your whole property would then be complete. The average property in Calgary need 4 to 6  zones for full coverage, although this can vary substantially. Determining the correct size and layout of these sprinkler zones is easily achieved with CAD software. This will lead to long term water savings.

Precise Scheduling

Even the best designed systems can be water wasters if improperly scheduled. But in order to properly schedule your irrigation system, we need to know the precipitation rate of the sprinklers. Luckily our software automatically calculates the precipitation rate based on the layout of the sprinklers in the design. This makes scheduling the run times for your irrigation system much more accurate.

Although an accurate precipitation rate lets us know the rate of water output of your irrigation system, the amount of water that needs to be applied to your landscape is not constant throughout the summer. As you might have guessed, its not necessary to have your system water as much during periods of rainfall. Likewise, during the hottest months, it may be necessary to increase the watering time. This active water management is easily achieved with the HydraWise Smart WiFi irrigation controller by Hunter Industries. It actively manages your irrigation system using real time weather data. Accurate Cost Estimate

By designing your sprinkler system with CAD software in the quoting phase, it allows us to do a precise material takeoff, thereby giving us a very accurate cost estimate. This means you can be confident with the price we offer you, and we will never ask you for more money after the project has started or cut corners because we misquoted the project.

Smart Scheduling

Wi-Fi Controlled

Even the best designed systems with high uniformity can be a huge water waster if it’s improperly managed. That’s why one of the products we recommend is the award winning Hydrawise Smart Irrigation controller. Hydrawise automatically adjusts water scheduling based on internet weather stations with an easy-to-use interface. This is done via its advanced Predictive Watering™ schedule. The watering schedule can adjust the watering time and days based on weather data being sent to it, and can suspend watering depending on the temperature, predicted rainfall or actual rainfall. All of this leads to significant water savings from your sprinkler system, saving you time and money.

efficient nozzles

Only the best for your system

The revolutionary MP Rotator features a unique, multi-trajectory rotating stream delivery system that achieves water-conserving results. Rather than simply “spray” water onto landscapes, MP Rotators deliver multiple streams of water at a steady rate. This slower application rate allows water to gently soak into the soil and achieves an even distribution throughout the area being irrigated. This increased efficiency results in 30% less water use when compared to traditional sprays and significantly reduces wasteful runoff.
